Qualified physicians, members of Wichita County Medical Society, provide all female and male examinations.
We provide information concerning the safety and effectiveness of all methods of birth control. We also educate patients about self-breast examinations, disease prevention, planning a healthy pregnancy, etc. Counseling or referral is also available for social and medical problems.
Laboratory Screening Tests
Our tests include ThinPrep Pap Smear, Chlamydia/Gonorrhea (for males a urine specimen is collected), Syphilis, HIV, Glucose, Cholesterol, Triglyceride, Anemia, and Pregnancy Testing when indicated.
Types of Birth Control Available on Site or by Referral
Pills, Depo-Provera, Nuva Ring, IUD, Diaphragm, Nexplanon, Natural Family Planning, Vasectomy, and Tubal Ligation. Emergency Contraceptive Pills “ECP” (“Morning After Pills”) can also prevent unplanned pregnancy if used with 72 hours. ECP can be used in case of rape, failure of birth control method, and if sexual activity occurs unexpectedly or without contraception.
Patients can expect to stay at the clinic for approximately 1.5 hour for an initial or annual exam. Resupply visits require approximately 30 minutes.
There is a sliding fee scale based on family size and income. Medicaid and the Texas Women’s Health Program are accepted. Proof of income is not required for eligibility determination.
Anyone in childbearing years, who has not had a hysterectomy or tubal ligation, and desires family planning services is eligible.
The clinic does not require parental or spousal approval or consent for services rendered. All teenage clients presenting for an examination are counseled on the importance of the involvement of family and/or other trusted adult(s) in their decision to seek family planning services.
